The journal Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura is an
open access publication. It provides free and immediate access to its contents,
under the principle that free dissemination of research allows a greater global
knowledge exchange. Users are allowed to read, download, distribute, print,
search, partially reproduce or link to the texts, without requesting prior
permission from the publisher or the author/s, without making commercial use.
Its contents are under the Creative
Commons Attribution 4.0 international license (CC BY 4.0), which offers its readers free access to research to help a greater global
exchange of knowledge. Published articles can be copied, used, disseminated, transmitted and
publicly exhibited, provided the following conditions are met:
2. Copyright The Universidad ORT Uruguay reserves the rights to edit the journal.
Consequently, the authors must sign the Authors' Rights Document and a
declaration of no conflict of interest. This requirement is essential for the
publication of articles. 3. Originality The journal considers a manuscript to be original when it is unpublished,
meaning it has not been published in any scientific journal, nor is it under
evaluation in another journal. Articles may originate from theses, conference
presentations, or be available as research documents in institutional,
thematic, or general repositories. However, articles previously published as
chapters in digital or printed books are not considered original. If an article originates from a thesis, conference presentation, or other
types of research, the authors are requested to include an explanatory note
declaring the initial venue where the manuscript was presented. Under no
circumstances can the manuscript retain the same title as its first version. 4. Violation of editorial ethics. Ethical code. The Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura journal adheres
to the code of ethics and the declaration of good editorial practices
established by COPE (Committee
on Publication Ethics). The journal has an Editorial Committee, an International Scientific
Committee and a team of referees, consisting of specialized researchers in each
of the specific thematic areas. It also has a writing team that performs
administrative tasks, together with the editors, to disseminate the published
content. All stakeholders involved in the publication know and practice the
principles established by COPE for good editorial practice. The rights of editors and authors, compliance with the publication
regulations and other rights and obligations, are taken care of directly by the
associate editor in conjunction with the Universidad ORT Uruguay legal
advisors. For
inquiries, please contact Rosana Izquierdo (izquierdo@ort.edu.uy). Metrics, indexing, and metadata are managed independently by the associate
editor. 5. Preservation of the contents. Editorial
process The journal accepts manuscripts through the Open Journal System
(OJS) platform. In order to maintain the anonymity
and transparency of the editorial process, the manuscript must be submitted
anonymously, the names of the authors and their affiliation will be sent in a
different document, which will be used if the article is approved. The editors will carry out a first formal and anti-plagiarism review
of the manuscripts received, using the Turnitin tool to reveal textural copies
of the resources from the internet. In the following 7 days, the editor will
inform the authors if the manuscript has been accepted to start the evaluation
process, or if it has been rejected. In the evaluation stage, which lasts 60 days on average, the editor
invites the referees who will evaluate the manuscript. The referees' feedback
from the authors will last on average 15 days per evaluation round and may
require several iterations to make the modifications indicated. At the end of
the evaluation process, the editors will issue the final decision and an email
of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the authors. From this moment, the article is considered accepted and they can request a
certificate from the editor. In the following 7 days, the style correction and
layout process of the articles will be carried out to be included in the
publication's website. Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura is a journal of continuous publication; all accepted articles are
immediately added to the website, in order to be quickly visible and citable. Manuscripts approved in the peer review, and by the Editorial Committee,
are compiled twice a year. 6. Digital preservation policies. No APC. The Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura journal does not
charge any article processing or publication fees (Article Processing Charge -
APC), and does not have policies to subsidize the writing of articles. 7. Data Availability The articles published in Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura
are accompanied by a Mendeley Dataset, which includes the data (images, plans,
tables, and other resources provided by the authors). This is done to ensure
accessibility for all researchers. The datasets are made available for public use, and any utilization of the
data they contain must be properly cited following the guidelines specified in
the "how to cite" section. Copyright The published articles’ content is the sole responsibility of their authors
and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Editorial Committee or the
reviewers. The journal Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura preserves
the authors' rights, which are adopted by the Editorial Committee for
publication. The authors declare that the work presented has not been published
in any scientific journal or monograph. Violation of editorial ethics Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura promotes the dissemination of unpublished research content in the areas of
Architecture, Urbanism, Landscaping and Sustainability. The journal maintains a
strict control over compliance with editorial ethics, as well as with the
assessments indicated by external evaluators. Hence, and in accordance with what is established by COPE, the journal
follows the protocol that coincides with the alleged offense investigated,
which in general terms implies:
The editors will be responsible for the application of measures determined
by the Committee. If the lack of ethics is proven, the article will be rejected
and if it was already published, the article will be withdrawn from publication
and a retraction will be made. Consequently, the authors will not be able to
publish again in the journal. Preservation, self-archiving and visibility
policy. The Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura journal uses the PKP Preservation
Network (LOCKSS) repository, in which
publications edited in the Open Journal System (OJS) are digitally stored. This
system allows perpetual access to the original content of the magazine. Individual auto file Authors are allowed and advised for the personal storage of published works.
It will be possible to archive the post-print or final galley, and include it
in backups and in institutional repositories. The journal ensures the preservation of its contents. The files are stored
at the time of their publication in the Digital Academic Repository
(DSpace) and on the journal's platform (OJS). Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura is included in different international content aggregators such as ErihPlus, Latindex, REDIB, ARLA, LatinREV, Dialnet, MIAR and is a signatory of the Declaration of San Francisco (DORA). Use of digital objects policy The Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura journal provides
free and immediate access to its contents and is supported by the open access
policies contained in the international Creative Commons licenses, which allow
free reading and exchange of content to guarantee access to research. For photographs, still or moving images, figures, videos, plans, sketches,
or any type of previously published material included, authors will obtain and
provide publishers with permission from the copyright owner for the print and
online format. Any material received without these permissions will be presumed
to come from the authors. Interoperability protocol Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura incorporates the OAI-PMH (Open
Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability
protocol. |
