Informatio
Journal receives works in digital editable format and only publishes original
and unpublished papers which should not be in the stage of evaluation process
in another journal or similar publication and must be linked to the field of
information science and related areas. Research
articles (theoretical or empirical) may be written in Spanish, Portuguese or
English and will undergo an external evaluation according to a double-blind
peer review thus preserving the identity of the author and reviewers during the
evaluation process. Submission
of papers implies the full acceptance of the following guidelines. ________________________________________ Articles All
articles should cover up to 25 pages, 12 point Times New Roman font with 1.5
line spacing, line spacing after 6, no indentation and justified. Page
configuration A4, left and right margins to 3.5 cm, top and bottom margins to
2.5 cm. Experiences Reports Accounts
of experiences will also be accepted for publication. The final statement on
the inclusion of a contribution in this item will be decided by the Informatio
editorial board. The guidelines being on the same terms as those required for
the articles. No more than two accounts of experiences will be published per
issue. Reviews Reviews
will be published by invitation only. The text should be no longer than 10
pages and will follow the presentation guidelines required for the articles. About the presentation First page Title
of article in the same language of the text and translated into English and
Portuguese (centered align, bold type and font size 16 for the original text
and translations). Complete
name and Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) of author(s), separated by
space, left-justified, font size 12 and adding a footnote to the corresponding
affiliation. Academic
membership stating institution name, country, postal and electronic address
(font size 12). If you require including more information you may do it by
adding a note at the end of the document. Summary

language of the country of origin, an abstract in English and another one in
Spanish, as well as title and keywords in the three languages. Articles written
in English should include title, abstract and keywords in Spanish and Portuguese.
Organizational features of the text Titles
of the text should be centered, in bold type and font size 16. Subtitles should
also be centered, in bold type and font size 14. If there is a sub-title within
a sub-title, the font size is 13 and must be centered, in bold type and having
before and after space. In
the event of using different hierarchies in the titles within the body of the
text, the use of multi-level lists with Arabic figures is suggested (1, 1.1,
1.1.1, etc.), respecting font sizes, as previously stated. Underlined
sections, bullets, automatic numberings and different font sizes should be
avoided. For
articles presenting research results achieved, the following pattern is
suggested: Introduction
(formulation of the problem, background and theoretical foundations) Objectives Methodology Results
achieved Discussion Final
considerations and/or conclusions Textual
transcripts Text
citations integrated in the body text will be enclosed in «Spanish quotes»,
without italics; if there is a quote between quotes, «Spanish quotes» will
enclose “English quotes”, and these, in turn, will enclose any 'single
quotation marks'. In
case text quotes with an extension greater than 40 words are included, they
will be placed in a separate paragraph, with single spacing, font size 11, and
leaving left and right indentation of one centimetre, without quotation marks
and with a space of separation with respect to the previous and subsequent
paragraphs. Citations
in the text (textual, free or mixed) will refer to the work bibliography and
will be prepared in accordance with the standards of the American Psychological
Association (APA). Pages will be quoted, if applicable. Bibliographic References In
accordance with the citation in the text, full bibliographic references will be
written according to the guidelines of the APA standard. They will be submitted
in a single list, left-justified, font size 12, in alphabetical order, at the
end of the text under the title Bibliographic References. They
will only include the literature cited or referred to in the text. In
the case of citing more than one work by the same author and the same year,
lowercase letters (arranged alphabetically) will be added after the year, for
example: Wilson,
T. (1997a) Wilson,
T. (1997b) Depending
on the type of authorship, proceed as follows: a.
One author: Cabré, M.T. b.
Up to seven authors: Gilbert, D., McClernon, J., Rabinivich, N., Sugai, C.,
Plath, L., Asgaard, G. and Botros, N. c.
Eight or more authors: Bagdassarian, D., Carro, E., De Paula, R., Rasines del
Campo, M., Irureta, G., Carbajal, B….. Smitd, M. . d.
Editor or compiler: Diskin, M. (Ed) e.
Institutional author: American Library Association Illustrations, charts and graphs They
should be referenced in the text with the following style for example “(see
chart 1)” They
will be centered and numbered consecutively with Arabic figures in each case
and must be accompanied by heading or title and source of inquiry. Footnotes Footnotes
should be used exceptionally and may be generated automatically by the word
processor format in use. Annexes, appendix The
research material used for research should be determined in this section, for
instance, interviews, surveys or others the author(s) may consider. This
point should be properly referenced in the text and will be included after the
bibliographical list. General notes They will appear at
the end of the text after the bibliographic list or the annexes if applicable. Types of mandatory notes to include: Author contribution:
It must be specified what contribution each author made to the article.
For this purpose, the standardization established by CRediT must be
used: https://credit.niso.org/ Open data: Informatio, within the framework of its adherence to the open access
and open science policies promoted and supported by the SciELO project to which
it belongs, establishes that as of July of this year (2023) the journal is
required to declare in a general note at the end of the work to be published,
if the data used by the authors to prepare it is available or not in a
repository. To this end, the
following phrase can be used: "The data set that supports the results of
this study are available in..." or otherwise: "The data set that
supports the results of this study are not available." Other notes
considered by the author(s), such as: Financing: In the event that the research has been financed by an institution. Conflict of interest: In the event that one or more authors have a direct
link with the objective of the study. Further Recommendations Authors
are requested not to send files which exceed 2Mb, otherwise please make it
explicitly clear. In the case of documents with pictures, they must be high
definition photos. Articles
must meet the above-mentioned specifications and in all cases will be submitted
for style editing and the application of special software for plagiarism
detection. Informatio journal uses the “Compilatio” program. The

for the purpose of standardization, respecting the authors’ style and opinion. Privacy statement The names and email addresses entered in this journal will be used exclusively for the specific purposes defined therein and will not be provided to third parties. |
