Abstract

This article analyzes the content, concepts, issues and problems that characterized the discursive production of international organizations  as a sector constituting the intellectual field of education and as a contribution to recent history in this field  from the perspective of the study of political and pedagogical ideas. It studies, in empirical terms and from a comparative perspective, two major productions for Latin America and the Caribbean carried out by a group of international organizations: the Development and Education Project in Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL-UNESCO-UNDP) between 1976 and 1981, and the Major Project of Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO) between 1981 and 1989.
