The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture has approved eight thematic reports on the use of force; migration; prohibition of torture; corruption; domestic violence; psychological torture; biopsychosocial factors; and state cooperation. In 2021, the rapporteur requested input on the impact of the reports and their relevance in the national context. This article is the response to the rapporteur's request regarding Brazil, based on an interview with a specialist in torture prevention, in addition to theoretical research of specialized literature, legislation, jurisprudence, press releases and reports from international organizations.
