GOLDENBERG SERRANO, Juan Luis. The Dilemmas of Financial Inclusion: Context and Appraisal from the Chilean Reality. Rev. Fac. Der. [online]. 2020, n.48, e109. Epub 01-Jun-2020. ISSN 0797-8316. https://doi.org/10.22187/rfd2020n48a9.
Financial inclusion refers to an expansive model of the supply of financial products and services to the broadest spectrum of the population, based on the fact that, especially through credit, a greater participation in economic activity is promoted, formulating a public/private strategy for overcoming poverty. However, this model must consider the greater vulnerability of the low-income population, strengthening the tools for financial consumer protection. In the Chilean context, where financial inclusion has been embraced as a governmental purpose, this second dimension shall be stressed as to avoid the construction of an over-indebted society.
Palabras clave : Financial Inclusion; Financial Exclusion; Poverty; Protection of the Financial Consumer; Overindebtedness.
