This study examined the effectiveness of the bilingual teaching method in reading comprehension and text production. Two groups were formed, the experimental group (EG) and the control group (CG), of a total of 52 students from the fourth year of secondary education at the Institución Educativa Inca Garcilaso de la Vega in Ayacucho (Peru). Various research techniques and instruments were used and descriptive and inferential analysis was used to treat two data.

The experimental group, which used the bilingual teaching method, demonstrated greater effectiveness in reading comprehension and in the production of texts both in Spanish and in Chinese, in comparison to the control group. These results suggest that the implementation of appropriate methodologies for bilingual students facilitates greater development in the acquisition of skills for comprehension and production of texts.
